OMEEL Coils facilities have a variety of equipment dedicated to building cost-effective Heat Transfer Products
Fin presses with different plate fin size/patterns
Tube machines which handle 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 7/8" and 1" OD tube sizes. This equipment straightens and cuts the tubes to the proper length. The tubes are then formed into a hairpin shape, eliminating the need for return bends and the associated brazed or welded joints at one end of the coil.
Tube expansion equipment ( for to expand tubes 7mm OD, 3/8” OD, ½” OD, 5/8’ OD, ¾” OD, 1” OD)

Equipment that cleans coils by using a CTC. The CTC is an excellent degreasing agent. It does not affect the coil materials and leaves no oily residue.

Welding
- We provide GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) stick welding, Electric welding.
- Most welding techniques are performed using procedures that have been qualified in accordance with standard.
- Our Quality department inspects welds for full penetration, complete fusion, porosity, cracks, etc.
- We can arrange for third party examinations of weld joints, including radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant examinations.
- Most brazing processes are performed using procedures that are qualified welders.
- Most of our brazers are certified in accordance with ASME

Volume
OMEEL Coils can provide one custom-designed Heat Transfer products or many . Our facilities have the processes and equipment to quickly transition from building a single custom Heat Gain product to a high-volume coil run, and we can provide timely delivery.
We value customers who need just a single product or a few products at a time. These are our core customers. They are normally the ones who help us to further expand our knowledge and venture into new applications.
Working closely with our customers we can set up systems for rapid prototypes, high volume, Just-In-Time, and lean cell production coils.
Quality & Leak Testing
OMEEL Coils has been manufacturing Heat Transfer products since 1997, and recognizes the importance of providing quality products to our customers with ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard. Materials used in our coils are high quality, and tubes and pipes are mill certified and meet ASTM/ASME standards.
Our technical team works closely with the customer to understand how the products will be applied. They create designs and designate inspections at critical points during the assembly and testing. The technical staff stays closely involved and is available to answer questions as the products are fabricated.
Shop personnel examine all components, tubes, fins, brazing, welding, and testing as each product is assembled. In-house inspectors review the products at key stages and check that any special instructions are followed. Once the unit is fully assembled it receives a final inspection.
Each product is leak-tested just before shipping. Our standard method of testing is charging the coil, Heat exchanger with dry nitrogen at a minimum of 600 PSIG and placing the coil under water. The dry nitrogen helps to dehydrate the coil. Higher test pressure can be used depending on the strength of the products materials. In cooling coils and condenser 150 PSIG
For Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger, Oil cooler, intercooler, after cooler OMEEL Coils can provide a higher degree of non-destructive examinations when the severity of the application warrants it. They include radiographic, ultrasonic, and liquid penetrate testing. These services are performed by our nominated service providers.
We also offer other leak-test methods such as hydrostatic, vacuum drop tests. If you have such leak test requirements, contact on info@omeelcoils.com
Special Handling/Inspection/Packaging
The final assembled product is carefully handled and packed for shipping. All coil , Heat Exchanger openings are covered or plastic capped to keep out dust and dirt. Coil materials susceptible to quick corrosion may receive an optional water-soluble or oil-based protective coating before being be shrink-wrapped.
Wood shipping crates are custom built for the coil and Heat Exchanger. These guarantees proper support and secure protection so that the product arrives safely at the customer's dock. Air packs and foam can be provided for additional protection.
As a service to our customers, we can provide special coil handling, marking, and packaging. This may include attaching additional customer-supplied parts to the coil, using special labels or markings, or coordinating shipment by a special carrier. |
